The office of IT company Spectrum Data in the center of Yekaterinburg was searched, RIA Novosti and local portal 66.ru reported, citing a statement from the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Interior. According to Mash, the investigative measures are related to the “unauthorized disclosure of personal data.”

“The comments are still premature, detectives need to understand everything in detail,” Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the Sverdlovsk Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told 66.ru.

According to the publication’s source, SpectrumData employees “were placed [лицом] to the ground” and were left without a phone, “those who had not yet managed to come to work from home were told not to come.” Mash indicates that the entrance and exit to the SpectrumData office have been closed.

RB.RU sent a request to the company.

SpectrumData is the developer of the applications “Avtokod Profi”, “Avtobaza”, Spectrum Bureau, CheckPerson and others. The main specialization is the development of risk management solutions based on big data. The organization has offices in Moscow and Yekaterinburg.

At the end of December 2024, the authorities extended the moratorium on scheduled inspections of accredited IT companies until the end of 2025. An exception to the moratorium was made for inspections as part of sanitary and epidemiological control at the federal level.
