The error appears as a “For your security, some settings are managed by your administrator” message, which is typically displayed only to business users of managed systems. However, such a message, which blocks allowed changes in the settings, began to appear for private users as well.
Microsoft confirmed the bug on its support page and explained that the problem occurs on unmanaged systems or computers using Trusted Platform Module (TPM). TPM is a hardware component that provides encryption and increased system security. Since most modern computers are equipped with a TPM and Windows 11 must be installed, this error is likely to affect many non-commercial Windows 11 users.
Since there is no solution yet, users can only wait for a fix from Microsoft. At the same time, it is not possible to decrypt drives protected by BitLocker and change the settings of this function.
