The “Day at the Pickup Point” program is designed to “streamline customer service and avoid lines,” the statement says.

Ozon employees in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Tver, Tambov and Kazan can participate in it. They must first receive training on work processes at a collection point. 4 thousand points located near the Ozon offices and with high load have already been invited to participate.

“This project not only provides assistance to partners: thanks to it, experience, motivation and commitment to business success can be exchanged. The more employees understand the work of the pickup point from within, the more effectively we can improve our business processes,” explained Nikita Shurpa, director of last mile development at Ozon, who participated in the program in December.

Ozon plans to develop the initiative by inviting more and more employees to participate, the company said.

On December 17, Ozon reported that the marketplace and delivery operator SDEK agreed to launch joint order pick-up points. The new format is expected to improve the availability of delivery service and make logistics more convenient for businesses.
