Recently it became known that the company is working on a new feature that will allow you to view the disk type right in the Task Manager.

This improvement will add additional information about the drives, such as read and write speeds and whether they are NVMe SSDs or SATA SSDs.

Previously, to obtain such information, users had to go into more detailed settings via Settings > System > Storage > Disks & Volumes. The new feature will greatly simplify access to this data.

The feature is currently being tested and is currently hidden. Those who want to try it out now can enable it via the Windows Insider beta channel using build 22635.4225.

However, it is important to remember that the function is in the testing phase and may be unstable.
