Nubank’s mobile phone operator started rolling out to fintech customers this Monday (20)After completing the initial tests of the service. Announced in October last year, NuCel was made available only to a select group of users.

Following the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) model, the digital bank’s mobile phone service uses Claro’s network and offers coverage in 93% of the national territory with high-performance 5G, according to the company. There are plan options available with monthly fees starting from R$ 45.

All options include unlimited voice packages that allow local and intercity calls to mobile and landline phones from all operators, unlimited SMS and WhatsApp, including voice and video calls, without franchise interruption. Accessing the Nubank app also does not consume your data plan.

Another advantage of NuCel is the special box that provides 120% of CDI up to R$ 10,000. Nubank+ and Ultravioleta customers are entitled to an extra data package It will be used if they have exhausted the entire contracted franchise before renewing the monthly subscription.

NuCel plans and how to subscribe

Three Nubank mobile operator plan options are available at launch; The subscription price varies depending on the selected data allocation:

  • 15GB: 45 R$ per month
  • 20GB: 55 R$ per month
  • 35GB: 75 R$ per month

In the Fintech application, you must be a digital bank customer to complete your subscription, which can be paid with a Nubank credit card from the NuCel tab, which is characterized by a mobile phone icon. According to the financial institution, the plans have no fidelity.

NuCel packages are first offered to account holders who express interest in becoming users of the service. Those who have signed up for the waiting list and have a mobile phone with eSIM. The bank stated that availability to its entire customer base will occur gradually.
