Apple dropped from first to third place in terms of smartphone sales in China in the fourth quarter of 2024. This was reported by the analytical company Counterpoint Research.

According to its data, Apple’s share of the smartphone market was 17.1%. By comparison, in the fourth quarter of 2023, Apple held the leading position with a 20.2% market share.

At the end of 2024, Huawei took first place in sales, with a solid 18.1% share. This is the first time since the introduction of US sanctions that Huawei topped the ranking. Xiaomi took second place with shares of 17.2%, ahead of Apple by 0.1%.
