The drive is made of aluminum alloy and supports the USB 3.2 standard, providing data transfer speeds of up to 1050 MB/s. The SSD capacity is 1 TB and the connection is via the USB Type-C port.
The device is available for around $82 on Lenovo’s crowdfunding platform, and the project has already reached 69% funding.
This design can make it difficult to get through airport security, making it a questionable choice for travelers.
Note that Lenovo is not the first company to produce military-style equipment. Gigabyte previously offered motherboards with gun- or clip-shaped coolers, which caused problems during reviews.
