According to national public radio, citing familiar sources with negotiations, the Trump administration is working on the Tiktok rescue plan, which implies the transfer of most Tiktok US Oracle shares and a group of external investors.

According to the transaction, the Chinese Bytedance will retain the Tiktok Uss minority package, however, the application algorithm, data collection and software updates will be controlled by Oracle, which already provides the base of the platform website.

This means that American investors will own the Tiktok stake control pack, but the terms of the transaction are still discussed and can change.

According to NPR, the representatives of Oracle and the White House held a meeting on January 24 dedicated to a possible transaction. The new meeting is scheduled for next week.

The source of the publication said that Oracle is interested in buying an action on Tiktok for tens of billions of dollars, but the rest of the transaction is in a limited state. According to Bytedance, the value of assets can amount to at least $ 200 billion.

NPR reports that, among other participants, in negotiations on the purchase of an action on Tiktok US, Microsoft appears.

Reuters, referring to its sources, also writes about a possible Tiktok transaction that involves Oracle. It is reported that the terms of the agreement can change and include operations not only in the United States, but also in other regions.

At the same time, Donald Trump himself in a conversation with journalists said he did not discuss the purchase of a request with Oracle.

“No, not with Oracle. Many people, very solid people, are talking about the purchase of the company, and I will make this decision, probably in the next 30 days. Congress gave 90 days. If we can save Tiktok, I think it will be good, ”the president of the United States cites Reuters.

Even during his first presidential mandate, in 2020, Donald Trump said that he “blessed” the acquisition of Tiktok from American Oracle and Walmart.

The 2020 agreement finally failed, and at this time Walmart refuses to buy an action on Tiktok due to the high cost of the platform.

On January 19, 2025, 170 million American users of Tiktok lost access to the platform due to the entry into force of the law in the prohibition of the work of the site in the United States.

The same day, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, said he would restore access to the social network and give Tiktok more time to conclude a transaction. The Policy Plan included the creation of a joint company to administer the site, in which 50% will belong to the US State.
