In M. Video-Cadorado, they rejected the comments. “We are not commenting on rumors,” said the representative of the “Vdomosti” retailer. The publication also made a request to the PSB.
The cost of the network can be estimated at 300 billion rubles, taking into account its basic products assets, said the main manager of one of the Russian distributors to Kommersant. The cause of the sale of the newspaper calls the company’s unsatisfactory financial results, noting that the new owner can close around 200 of 1245 stores and reorient the remaining national electronics.
According to Spark-Inrfax, the income of MVM LLC (the main legal entity of M. Video-Cadorado) in 2023 amounted to 433 billion rubles with a clean loss of 7.5 billion rubles. The company has not been profitable since 2022. 68.94% of the company belongs to PJSC M. Video, whose co -owners are hidden. Another 34.06% has BT Holding LLC. Previously, M. Video and Eldorado belonged to the Safmar Mikhail Gutseriev group.
At the beginning of December, M. Video-Cadorado announced the launch of the underground smartphone processing program for subsequent sale. Shortly before that, they told the network that they would start actively selling laptops and used smartphones.
On December 5, the company began offering customers in cash for an amount of up to 100,000 rubles and up to 12 months for any purpose.
