The implementation of the service, which will provide banks such functionality, is dedicated to the National Payment Card System (NSPK, MIR card operator). Its launch is scheduled for spring, the use of credit organizations will be optional.
The service is developed in the context of the cases of Russian fraud using a fraudulent scheme with tokenized (virtual) cards, Izvestia Write. The attackers convince the victim to add a virtual card to their electronic wallet on the phone, and then register the money “for the good of their salvation.”
The NSPK believes that the two -day cooling period will allow the client to “return to his senses and get out of the influence of the attackers.”
They plan to join the promssvyazbank service (it is already working on its implementation), Otp Bank and the state corporation Dom.RF. They will consider the possibility of presenting the Novikombank, Mail Bank and Bbr Bank service.
In mid -January, the Russian technology developer to combat CyberCintes Facct reported that in the last two months, scammers have stolen more than 40 million rubles of Russians using the legal application of NFCGate. According to experts, the service can intercept and transfer bank card data to the attackers through the NFC module on the smartphone.
