PERFORATOR helps optimize the code by analyzing server applications in real time, and also shows how resources are used and what programs consume above all. Yandex said the tool is suitable for large companies and new companies with limited resources.

“Unlike other tools, the perforator practically does not affect the code or work of the programs and does not require significant resources for work,” says the press service. In addition, its use does not violate the information security requirements, since all code data remain within the company.

Yandex plans to improve the perforator, including the improvement of interaction with popular programming languages such as Python and Java. The company will also add perforators integration tools with decisions that automatically optimize the code, said Yandex Search Technical Director Alexei Gusakov.

On January 13, the companies reported that they would provide developers accessing their Sourcecraft platform: the American Gitlab analogue in February in a technical preview mode. The first component of the site will be Yandex Code Assistant, which can “request” the code using AI.
