The description of the update on the Microsoft website says that Microsoft 365 applications will not work on computers without internet access. Users are recommended to install Office LTSc Professional Plus 2021 (an unlimited version of Microsoft 365) and use the traditional activation method, such as the Key Administration Service (KMS) or domain services.
The experts surveyed by RBC said the update made some unofficial versions of the position, especially in macOS. In addition, Microsoft wants to transfer users to cloud solutions, and update the policy with respect to serializers can be a step in this direction.
