The number of orders in the Egrocery market reached 788 million, which is 33% more than in 2023, and the average check increased by 9% per year, reaching an indicator of 1,510 rubles, analysts said.
At the same time, they noticed that the growth rate of the Egrocario segment for 2024 gradually decreased. In the first quarter, the dynamics of the year for the year amounted to +40% in orders and +58% in money, and in the fourth – +28% in orders and +27% in money.
The average control in the first half of 2024 continued the growth, which began in the third quarter of 2023, but in the second half of the year the growth stopped and then went to a decrease. As a result, in the fourth quarter, the average verification size was equal to the 2023 indicator, experts emphasized.
In a conversation with Vedomosti, the senior analyst Data Insight Olga Pashkova said that the high cost of the delivery services and the deficit of the mails had a decrease in the growth rate of the Egrocery market. At the same time, growth rates were largely backed due to market actors promotions, thanks to which online orders could become more attractive than off -line purchases, the expert explained.
In December, RBC, citing the messaging service data for the business, wrote that more than 1 million emails work in Russia, at least 200 thousand of this type are not enough. In the high season, from October to December, the deficit intensifies several times, said the director of human resources of the PEC Victoria Tsoi transport company.
