In 2024, Russia increased the purchase of Kazakhstan flowers by 50 times. For 11 months last year, 28 thousand tons of Kazakhstani flowers were brought to the country compared to 552 tons in 2023. This was informed by Ria Novosti with reference to Kazakhstan customs data.

Of the imported colors, the roses did the greatest participation: they represented 97% of the shipments. 124.4 tons of carnations, 6.8 tons of orchids, 612.4 tons of chrysanthemums and 22.1 tons of lilies were also sent.
Among non -food plants, flowers occupy 94% of all shipments from Kazakhstan to Russia. In second place are the bulbs and plant tubers (more than 1 thousand tons), and in the third branches and leaves to decorate and compile bouquets (281.3 tons).
Therefore, Kazakhstan almost equaled with the Netherlands in the supply of flowers to Russia: for 11 months of 2024, the kingdom sent 32 thousand tons of flowers to Russia, Ria Novosti recalled.
