“There are no complaints about Yuri Borisov. Rotation is performed, corporations must be dynamically developed, ”said Peskov, answering the agency’s question about Borisov’s dismissal.
Dmitry Bakanov was the new general director of Roscosmos, Vladimir Putin, signed a decree on his appointment for the position on February 6. Since April 2022, Bakanov worked as Vice Minister of Transportation, and in 2019-2021 he directed the Department of Digital Development of the Ministry of Transportation. There, Bakanov, in particular, treated innovation problems and unmanned vehicles, Tass said.
Peskov added that in the Putin calendar there is no meeting with Bakanov and Borisov, but the president regularly receives reports on the work of Roscosmos.
Borisov’s dismissal, who directed Roscosmos since July 2022, was reported at the Kremlin on February 6. The RBC source, familiar with the situation in the state corporation, said that most of their employees did not know about the dismissal until the morning of this day. According to the interlocutor, “everything happened in one night.”
