Previously, this possibility has allowed the virtual assistant Cortana to access geodatik devices in the last 24 hours.
The company announced that the location data was stored locally and that it was only collected at the request of applications, but was not more than once per second. Now this process has been disabled and the corresponding parameter will disappear from the system settings.
Developers using Windows.devices.geolocation API are recommended to switch to working methods with geodatik.
Users who will completely remove the past of places should turn off the geographical location service and click the “Clean” button in the Privacy Settings section.
