“In 2025, 75% of all participants in the study plan to increase the volume of supplies to the markets, or start mastering this site if they had not used it before. On average, sales in the markets are taken to Russian clothing, shoes and accessories manufacturers almost half of their income, ”experts said.

In total, more than 1 thousand high managers, the owners of clothing, shoes and accessories participated in the survey.

Advantages of markets. Around half of the respondents indicated that the exit to the markets allowed them not to distract themselves by attracting customers, advertising and logistics, but were focused on production and purchases. Every third believes that the demand for goods can be tested in the markets.

Fear of manufacturers. The main criterion to access online sites for national brands is the “compliance with their audiences”, 61% of fashion business representatives have declared it. According to the owners and senior managers of the premium and average+segments, the presence of their products in the market can “depreciate” and “reduce the positioning of the brand in the eyes of the customers.

  • At the end of January, the participation of Russian brands in markets in monetary terms amounted to 70%, growth in 2024 amounted to 15 percentage points. In particular, in Wildberries, sales of Russian clothing and shoes doubled during the past year, and for some brands growth has become almost six times. The proportion of foreign brands decreased.
