“As of today, during the subscriber stay on the Peninsula, SMS and gigabytes of the package are spent and they are paid according to the standard conditions of the rate plan,” said the FAS.

  • At the end of October 2024, the regulator recognized Megafon and MTS that violated antimonopoly legislation, since companies charged an additional salary of subscribers in Sevastopol and Crimea “in the absence of economic, technological and other justification.” The department clarified that Megafon raised 2.2 thousand rubles for 1 GB of mobile internet, MTS – 1.2 thousand rubles and Beeline – 140 rubles per day.
  • Megafon promised to cancel the margin on November 18, Yota – December 16. Both companies promised to execute the order no later than February 28. The FAS recalled that the roaming was previously canceled Beeline, T2 Mobile, LLC VTB Mobile and Rostelcom. The Crimean operators of K-Telecom LLC and KTK-TELECOM LLC also abolished the roaming of their subscribers when they were traveling through Russia.
  • MTS tried to challenge FAS decision about the abolition of roaming in Crimea and Sevastopol, but the Moscow arbitration court supported the position of the department. The company explained to RB.RU that in the regions where the operator has no infrastructure, it has expenses for the access of subscribers to the infrastructure of other operators.
