The process begins with grinding cotton clothes and mixing with water -based solution. The fibers are then crushed again to prevent clouding as a result of cellulose obtained, similar to traditional materials for paper production. When cotton fiber is added to the processed paper mass – only 30% of the mixture – this significantly increases the strength of the final product. This is because cotton fibers are much longer than ordinary paper fibers, which provides better power.

Although advanced paper has a brownish color with a small color sprinkled from painted fabrics, it can be processed as ordinary packaging paper. Researchers hope that this innovation will reduce the amount of textile waste, packaging materials will prolong the service life and reduce the amount of paper required for production.
