This may show increasing sensitivity to fast visual stimuli, which makes the habit of watching the video even more powerful.
However, critics of the study say that this does not prove that it is a causal relationship. In their opinion, changes in the brain may be the first features, not the result of monitoring Tiktok.
Furthermore, research methodology was suspected: There is no analysis before and after, and the concept of “addiction to short videos” is not accepted as clinical diagnosis.
