Previously, Apple has removed multi -advanced data encryption system – Advanced Data Protection (ADP). This means that the company can now access iCloud’s spare copies in some cases for iMessage messages, for example, on request, and provide authorities on request. Even Apple himself could not decipher these data through encryption.
The request of the British government has become a part of the global dispute on the protection of user information between authorities and technological companies. Authorities believe that strong encryption intervened in the investigation of crimes and mass audits, but the needs of Great Britain are considered especially gestures.
Apple refused to comment on the situation, but the company appealed when it closed the ADP in the UK in the same period.
The British Ministry of Interior said that privacy issues were only influenced by the investigation of serious offenses in extraordinary situations.
