Sber announced structural changes in the technological direction of its business. As part of the new strategy, the bank divided the direction into two blocks: “Technology” and “Technological development,” Sberbank said in a statement.

The Technology block will be responsible for the development and provision of business and Platform (Platform V). It will be headed by Senior Vice President Kirill Menshov.
The Technological Development block will work on the creation of a new platform based on AI. It will include the areas on which the implementation of the “Sber as Assistant” strategy will be based. The bloc will be headed by Senior Vice President Andrei Belevtsev.
The teams will work in synergy on Sber’s technological base and develop technologies and new products based on AI.
“We are entering a new phase of strategy implementation: we need to create products and technologies that did not exist before. We must not only stay up to date, but also be at the forefront. AI is becoming our priority,” said Sberbank President German Gref, quoted in the press service.
