Bosch is investing 3 billion euros in the development of chip production in Germany, according to Reuters.

The company will spend 170 million euros to build new chip and microsensor development centers. Another 250 million euros have been allocated for the expansion of the Bosch plant in Dresden.

The company also protests against the production of processors using gallium nitride. They are four times more energy efficient than silicon chips.

At the moment, Bosch factories produce chips ranging in size from 40 to 200 nm, which are mainly used in electric vehicles and components for them. The company is developing this direction. [Reuters]
