BaseTracK unmanned systems developer sold Russian business

Among the new owners are Oleg Yanovsky, owner of the Altika transport company, and Igor Kaloshin, co-founder of the Syndicat venture capital club, a BaseTracK representative told RB.RU.

Since July, BaseTracK's Russian representative office has been operating under the Energotrak brand. Yanovsky will focus on generating sales, Kaloshin on attracting new investment.

The entire fleet of start-up vehicles will go to Energotrak, including the only unmanned truck in Russia based on Mercedes-Benz Actros 1845, certified by the state scientific center of FSUE NAMI and allowed on public roads. Since June this year, the tractor truck has been used for commercial cargo transportation for groupage cargo delivery in unmanned mode along the Moscow-St. Petersburg route along the M11 highway.

Likewise, the outgoing team will transfer technologies for autonomous driving and energy efficient management of vehicles.

BaseTracK is a developer of technology for autonomous movement and control of an object on land, surface and airspace. The company has created and patented a technology to move along a virtual rail, taking into account the specificities of transport, as well as the characteristics of the terrain, turns and other factors.

In late January 2022, BaseTracK raised $1 million in a bridge round from the AngelsDeck club to scale the DeepTech product, increase investment appeal, and prepare for the upcoming Series A round. In June 2021, the company also raised $1 million in seed funds from AngelsDeck club members.

The BaseTracK startup was launched in 2017. You can learn more about BaseTracK technologies in BaseTracK founder Andrey Vavilin's interview to RB.RU.
