A partner who is always ready to listen. He never complains. As soon as he claims. Always sympathizes. Reasonable. And blessed by the corps of knowledge used from all over the Internet. It seems that a couple of romantic feverish dreams, right?

It is interesting that the manufacturer of this tool, a company based on a francisco dignity called Openai, recently conducted an internal investigation and found a connection between the increase in the use of chat bots and loneliness.

These conclusions and such warnings did not prevent people from going to mass chat -bots in search of the company. Somewhat look for comfort. Some even find couples who claim that they have almost as much as their human relations.

The impact is quickly and real

Four months ago, I met a veteran of a veteran who spent more years behind the camera than I walk along this planet. Accepting espresso late at night in an empty cafeteria, he asked that all this chachara was around AI, while at the same time reflecting on a sentence that could use his experience on crossing human rights, authoritarianism and journalism.

Instead of explaining the heart of the transformer models, I showed him a demonstration. Firstly, I presented some research work on the influence of immigration on the linguistic and cultural identity of Europe in the last century.

“The time has come,” I told myself. I opened one of our articles about the growing trend of pairs of AI and how people emotionally tied to their virtual companions, who even leave them pregnant. It would be euphemism to say that he was shocked.

But, I believe, it was too much techno-dystopic surprise for one night, so we said goodbye to each other with a promise to keep us in contact and exchange travel stories.

Meanwhile, the world did not understand in incomprehensible ways in which AI became the central direction of geopolitical changes. Underground currents, however, are more intimate than we, for example, fall in love with the bots chat.

Quiet start, dark progress

In the modern era, our interaction with AI becomes as “real” as the interactions that we have with people through the same device, he adds. These interactions are not real, even if they are consistent. But this is not where the real problem lies.

Chatbots are a delicious bait, and their lack of real emotions makes them risky inherently.

A quick glance at the community of people associated with chat bots IA shows a repeating template. Most people are trying to fill a certain abyss or stop feeling alone. Some need this so urgently that they are ready to pay hundreds of dollars to keep their peers from AI.

The opinions of experts are not different. Dr. Johannes Eichstadt, professor of computer social sciences and psychology at Stanford University, said that the interaction between loneliness and what we perceive as emotional intelligence in the Chats of AI.

He also pointed out the “deliberate design” of interaction between people and AI and the consequences that are not so good in the long term. When are you going to the brake in such an unbalanced relationship? This is a question that experts ask without a final answer.

Komninos Chatzipas leads Herahaven Ai, one of the largest additional AI platforms with more than a million active users. “Loneliness is one of the factors that play here,” he tells me, and adds that such tools help people with weak social skills in order to prepare for difficult interactions in their real life.

“Everyone has things who are afraid to argue with other people from the fear of being a judgment. It can be thoughts or ideas, as well as perversions, ”adds Chatsip. “Chat -bots of IAs offer respectful space with confidentiality and free tests in which people can explore their sexual desires.”

Sexual conversations, of course, are one of the greatest attractions of the Chattes of AI. But experts do not necessarily agree with this approach.
