Auchan and Sbermarket opened the first joint dark store

Darkstore is a "store-warehouse" to serve online orders, without the physical access of buyers.

The darkstore assortment includes 3.6 thousand SKUs (product units), more than 600 products are presented at discounts. The delivery of orders is free, the waiting time will be from 20 minutes to 60 minutes.

The delivery area covers the entire city of Moscow, and orders can also be received in Rasskazovka, Peredelkino, Solntsevo, Filatov Lug, Prokshina, Troitsk and Maryina.

“Around 75% of customer orders in Auchan stores are for the most frequently purchased SKUs: fresh vegetables and fruits, groceries, meat, bread, dairy and household items. It is these categories that are on the shelves of the dark store,” said Sergey Katasonov, director of business development at Sbermarket.

According to him, the assembly and delivery of orders from the dark store is 2-3 times faster compared to a conventional hypermarket.

Currently, delivery through Sbermarket is available in 174 Auchan stores in 36 regions of Russia.
