Within the framework of a recent study, Biologists from Yale University Institute of Weizmann in Israel and Women’s Hospital Helen Schneider examined that the woman should return to normal after birth. To do this, they used more than 300,000 breed data in Israel.

Experts found how the women’s bodies changed 4.5 months before they were pregnant and 1.5 years after birth. Between 2003-2020, the results of 76 different test types that measure cholesterol, blood, immune cells, inflammation, liver health, kidney and bone levels were collected in women who gave birth to healthy children.

It was found that only 47% of the health indicators obtained from the test results were stabilized within one month after birth. 12% of markers returned to normal 4 to 10 weeks after birth and 41% remaining in more than 10 weeks. The longest delay was the marker of the health of bones and liver: more than a year (56 weeks) to restore.

The stabilization of many other markers lasted for months. These include cholesterol, folic acid, red blood cells and some hormonal and immune health indicators.

At the same time, some health indicators were stabilized, but even 1.5 years after birth did not return to the level before pregnancy. These are also some markers of blood inflammation and health.
