Researchers from Mira RTU are developing an innovative method for the renewal of the cartilage, along with doctors of the Shumakov Transplantology Center. Technology is based on the 3D membrane formed from the cartilage of pigs using cell extraction, enzymatic hydrolysis and electrical spinning. This approach may be a breakthrough in the treatment of arthritis and joint injuries, because traditional methods often do not allow you to fully restore the tissue.

To form a membrane, scientists used ultrasound, enzymes and surfactant substances to remove the cells and maintained the structure of the non -cell matrix. In the future, the resulting material is combined with a frame made of polycaplactone, which makes it strong and useful in medicine. Researchers say that this method allows you to maintain the basic components of cartilage tissue by providing maximum biocompatibility.

Now the scientific group is facing the task of controlling how effective DNA is deleted and the important features of the material is preserved. Scientists are sure that their development will become the basis of creating new methods to treat joint damage and make the restoration of the cartilage more affordable and effective.
