A survey conducted by Megafon in April 2025 showed that 79% of the participants used AI for various tasks such as search, texts and education. However, despite the widespread use of technologies, communication with AI is mainly functional.
According to the study, most Russian entertainment planning and film selection, such as AI tasks prefer to transfer. 68% of the participants use AI to choose activities, gifts and routes. At the same time, almost a quarter of the participants rely on the choice of cinema and music. Even the search for interesting content for the scenarios of the parties and the leisure time, many rely on algorithms.
In addition, AI helps to the Russians in the field of creativity more and more. More than half of users publish materials created or organized with neural networks on social networks. However, there is another trend: AI has become an important tool for emotional support. Almost 30% of the participants use it to reduce stress and 38% say it is easier to cope with loneliness with the help of technology. At the same time, experts say that although AI provides convenience and accessibility, real human empathy cannot replace. AI, there is no intuition and depth that is important in live communication. However, his role in daily life and emotional support continues to grow.
These changes are associated with the growth of Russians’ interest in smart phones and AI devices. In 2024, the sale of such vehicles increased by 81%in Megafon.
