Microsoft introduced a sandbox service to train and test drones

AirSim was released in test mode with limited access. To get it, those who want to test the service should contact the developers of the project.

The service contains numerous environmental templates where you can test drones and learn how to fly them, working through scenarios to fly, control and operate a drone in various conditions.

AirSim runs on the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, allowing it to quickly process large amounts of data. It is noted that testers can independently place their own environment and flight projects on the service.

Microsoft said the project was created in response to progress in the development of artificial intelligence and unmanned technologies. By creating the service, the company wants to accelerate the commercialization of unmanned vehicles.
