Xiaomi has launched a new gaming monitor under its subsidiary Redmi. The 30-inch curved ultra-wide monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1080, a refresh rate of 200 Hz and a price tag of 216 euros.
The 30-inch (possibly 29.5-inch) format is not common on ultrawide screens: most full hd versions are 29 inches diagonal, and 1440p models are about 34 inches. It looks like the same VA panel as that of MSI Optix MAG301CR2, MAG301RF and Asus TUF Gaming VG30VQL1A monitors with 1800R curvature, 4 ms response time, 300 nits brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 126 percent sRGB coverage.
Xiaomi is launching a monitor under Redmi for the first time. The name was previously used only for the company’s budget smartphones, but in the last few years it has also appeared on televisions, laptops and washing machines. Most of them are only available in China and surrounding countries. Whether this monitor will get an international launch is still unknown.
