The Department of Internal Security accused Harvard of “cooperation with Chinese authorities” and “supporting violence and Semitism”. Previously, the department demanded university data from international students, including any crime, participation in protests and disciplinary measures. Harvard refused to convey information and comply with other needs of the Trump administration.
The university believes that there is revenge for refusing to follow the political instructions of the authorities and to intervene in freedom of expression.
So far, the court has temporarily defended students, but the situation is nervous.
