Previously, Gemini 2.5 Pro (G/O print) has focused on improving programming, but now shows 82.2% better results in the Aider Polyglot test in front of competitors such as Model, Openai and Anthropic.
However, outside the code tasks, the model has worked worse before. Google has taken into account criticism and advanced creativity, the design of answers (for example, titles, lists and text emphasis), and in general, a model has made a model more understandable and useful for users.
A new function has also emerged for developers – the ability to manage the “thinking budget”, that is, how many sources the model spends on the answer.
The new version is already available in Vertex Ai and AI studio and Gemini application (so far in imaging mode). Full version is expected in the near future.
