This material, which is created for a more environmentally friendly replacement of existing plastics, is decomposed under the influence of salt and is processed by natural bacteria without the formation of germs. Such a plastic is not lower in oil based on oil, but it disappears in salt water after a few hours.
At the same time, the material is not toxic to people, it is not fiery and not environmentally friendly. Scientists have focused on optimizing methods of using these materials to increase their effectiveness and accessibility.
The researchers showed their inventions in the laboratory in the Tokyo region and showed how a piece of transparent plastic disappeared in sea water for about an hour. Since salt is also found in the soil, such material should be completely destroyed after 200 hours in two -inch soil.
