The court declared the former main shareholder of Otkritie Bank bankrupt. Otkritie Holding has unfulfilled obligations to creditors totaling more than 620 billion rubles; with such a significant amount of obligations, the court considered the bankruptcy case for the first time.
RIA Novosti was informed about the decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court in the bankruptcy case of Otkritie Holding.
As for Otkritie Holding, the bankruptcy procedure has been initiated, which will last six months. Maria Bulatova, temporary manager of Otkritie Holding, was appointed bankruptcy trustee.
The main creditors of Otkritie Holding are Otkritie Bank, Trust Bank, VTB Bank, NCO JSC NSD, representatives of Vega-Invest bondholders.
The total amount of unfulfilled obligations to major creditors is more than 620 billion rubles. The agency noted that this was the first time the court had considered a case with such a significant number of unfulfilled obligations.
