Sony Japan’s official website reports that faults are only related to Japanese models. So far, in addition to sales, the delivery of the device has been suspended. According to assumptions, problems can be associated with the Japanese mobile payment system Osaifu-Keitai.
The world versions of Xperia 1 VII are currently not affected. The problem is not only recognized by SO-51F, SOG15, A501SO and XQ-FS44 models produced only for the Japanese market.
In order to eliminate the failure, Sony released the product software update at 71.0.a.2.43. However, it is still unclear how effectively solves the problem.
