According to the plaintiffs, Android conveyed information to Google servers even if the smartphone is not used and all applications are turned off. Although these programs can wait for a connection with Wi-Fi, they took place over the mobile internet.

The experiment showed that a normal smartphone with factory settings has sent and received approximately 9 MB data per day and that 94% of the traffic is associated with Google. Mostly transferred system magazines, a list of open applications and the status of the network were transmitted.

The court considered this as a violation of the law and ordered Google to pay compensation.

Google claims and claims that the data transmitted for Android’s stable and safe work is necessary. The company also claims that users accept it under the conditions of use.
