Scientists believe that the collision of an asteroid may occur in the early stages of the presence and formation of the moon, and that the south pole can lead to the formation of the south pole.

In order to verify assumptions, Chinese researchers measured some alkaline and rare metals as well as the isotopes of “incompatible” elements. These elements try to abandon the magma when they harden due to large size or charging.

This feature of these elements allows you to correctly determine the age and origin of races. For such studies, a marker is the presence of neodimium, Samaria, Strontia and the undecided isotopes of the niobium and other “incompatible” elements in the examined genus examples.

Scientists have found that the Chan-6 samples contain very few “incompatible” elements compared to other month basalt. This shows an unusual origin of the rocks they form.

Scientists argue that this basalt has lost most of the “incompatible” elements as a result of the full melting of the upper layers of this moon mantle. This could have been due to a collision with an asteroid or protoplanetary object that made up a south polar pole with a diameter of 2500 km about 4.2-4.3 billion years ago.

However, scientists do not exclude that some of the mandate of the moon can initially consist of races that lack “incompatible” elements. And if the hypothesis is finally confirmed, the new discovery completes the current ideas of planetologists on the formation of the Earth’s satellite.
