Slow trucks may look beautiful and cute, but you should also know that they are deadly. They are considered the only venomous primate in the world, and loris live in the tropical forests of South and Southeast Asia.

These animals can remain motionless for several hours in a row. They are also generally slow-moving and can freeze and hide when startled. Lories live in trees and eat almost all insects, small birds, reptiles.

There is also a brachial gland on the inside of the upper arm of the loris. That’s where the poison comes from. If the animal feels threatened, it raises its hands and licks this gland. As a result, a toxic solution is formed. When a loris bites someone, the venom immediately enters the victim’s bloodstream.

Due to this poison, swelling, pain, an inflamed wound that heals for a very long time may occur. Also, with the help of poison, loris kills small mammals, arthropods. As for humans, this poison can cause anaphylactic shock, heart rhythm disturbances and death if it enters the bloodstream.
