Modern processors and micro -circuits secrete too much heat and traditional materials for cooling – copper, aluminum and diamond – are not effective or too expensive. In the lion, Bora has the thermal conductivity comparable to diamonds, but is much cheaper.

PSU scientists tested six versions of composite materials: Combinations with a mixture of aluminum, copper, iron, silver and four metals as well as pure arsenite pipe. It turned out that the pure form has the best thermal conductivity, but adding impurities allows you to adapt the material to different tasks. For example, silver increases cooling efficiency and facilitates the aluminum structure.

Developers also created computer modeling methods that help predict the behavior of the material at different temperatures and loads. This accelerates the development process and reduces test costs.

According to the graduate student of PSU Egor Vershin, new material can be used on printed circuit cards, micro circuits or as an independent heat voltage.
