Aluminum can be reused, but the paper section had to be burned or discarded into a storage area. This is harmful to nature and leads to methane emissions – dangerous greenhouse gas.
Perm researchers have found a way to secure the paper from aluminum using a special device running without water and chemistry. After processing on the paper, about 7% of the aluminum remained – this has made it too much, but it was possible to reduce additional cleaning content to 1% using hydrochloric acid. This fiber can already be used for new paper and cardboard production.
New technology is simple and environmentally friendly – it does not require water and uses less equipment. In addition, the obtained materials are not lower than ordinary paper and aluminum.
