Founded by former MTS employees, CICADA8, together with the Rustore Application Store, has launched a project aimed at protecting users from fraudulent actions on the network and preventing the distribution of fake sites and mobile applications given for the official products of well -known brands.
In the first month of the project, several hundred malicious resources were blocked. Cicada8 representatives, the locking process was realized immediately after the broadcast on the Internet announced.
Rustore Information Security Director Dmitry Morev said that this project provided users the opportunity to expand the protection experience outside their platforms. He emphasized that fake applications often spread through social networks, informal websites and forums, which require the development of identity skills.
“In non -authorized sources, they can not recognize a false application: they are mostly found in social networks, informal sites and forums,” he said.
