The new equipment is designed to dry and grind iron ore raw materials using shallow balls. The planned power of the complex is to obtain 10 million tons of pellets per year. According to Alexander Shevelev, General Manager of Severstal, Mills is the most difficult stage of construction.
In parallel, the site is installed by other technological equipment, modernization of conveyors and the creation of auxiliary infrastructure. Currently, more than 30% of metal structures have been completed.
The launch of production is planned in the second half of 2027. It will allow the company to switch to more modern and environmentally friendly technologies.
