Problems with digestion. Protein powders, especially if they come from serum or case, may cause gas formation, bloating, diarrhea and/or stomach spasms in some people. Plant powders (eg soy, peas) can sometimes cause bloating due to a large amount of fiber.
Weight gain and increase in blood sugar levels. Some protein powders contain too much sugar. It is recommended to select those containing sugar with less than 5 g of sugar per portion. Due to high -calorie content, these dusts can cause an increase in weight and blood sugar.
Exacerbation of Kidney Disease. Excessive protein consumption in people with chronic kidney disease (HBP) may worsen the work of the kidneys over time. However, this risk does not concern the healthy ones.
Pollution. Some protein powders may contain toxins or pollutants.
The effect on health additives. Problems do not always occur because of the protein itself – various additives can play a particular role. Some protein powders include caffeine, creatine or artificial sweeteners that may cause side effects: Large amounts of caffeine – tremor, migraine or sleep problems, creatine – temporary weight gain, stomach or muscle cramps disorder, some sweeteners are associated with gastrointestinal symptoms.
