According to the documents released on Wednesday, LG will provide the German automobile manufacturer with a total of 32 gigavatts batteries by the end of 2035. In addition, a separate process with a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, the supply of 75 more gigavat hours until 2037.

These are not the first orders of the German automobile manufacturer by LG Energy Solution. In the autumn of 2024, the company announced a contract for the supply of 50.5 gigavat hour batteries. Thus, the cooperation of the two companies gradually expands, which reflects the general tendency in the automotive industry, which actively transitions to electrification.
