The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment, including three times the phase mass spectrometer for the analysis of mass shares of isotopic composition and uranium and plutonium. Optical emission spectrometers with inductive -related plasma are also established, which allows to determine metal impurity up to 17 with the highest accuracy in the same sample.
A feature of the object is a part of the chromatographic distinction for mass spectrometer where samples and measurements are carried out in constant mode. This is the world’s first industrial laboratory to work with such fuel.
In terms of the complexity of the tasks, the laboratory in Seotsk has a leading position among all factory laboratories of Russian nuclear fuel cycle businesses.
The project is implemented as part of the breakthrough program aimed at creating new nuclear energy technologies.
