Here are four common kitchen mistakes that can lead you to a stomach infection.

Don’t wash your hands. Be sure to wash your hands with soap before and after handling food, after using the toilet, and before eating. It is recommended to rub for at least 20 seconds, paying particular attention to the areas between the fingers and under the nails.

Insufficient heat treatment of food. We’re talking about undercooked chicken and meat. In this way, you can easily become infected with salmonella and E. coli.

Leaving food on the table for a long time. Bacteria that cause food poisoning multiply most rapidly at temperatures between -15 and +60 degrees Celsius. Therefore, hot dishes must be kept above +60 degrees before serving. Refrigerate leftovers within two hours and make sure the refrigerator temperature is -15 degrees or colder.

Spread of germs in the kitchen. To avoid this, use separate cutting boards for different foods, keep raw poultry or meat separate from other foods in your shopping cart, refrigerator, and on your kitchen counter, and wash cutting boards and utensils thoroughly with hot soapy water.
