In December 2025, Russia may come into force with new rules according to which one person is allowed to have no more than 5 card cards within one bank and no more than 20 cards in all banks.
This was announced by the head of the National State Duma for the financial market, Anatoly Aksakov. At the same time, the launch of a complex service is ensured, allowing citizens to register in which banks and when they issued their cards.
These measures are aimed at combating scammers who persuade users to sign up for bank cards and transfer their data to criminals. They can then withdraw the stolen money through these cards.
