Russian venture fund Zerno Ventures increased its stake in the online supermarket “Esh Derevenskoe” from 1.15% to 2.09%. Proof of this are the changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, to which RB.RU drew attention.

The “Eat Village” service was founded in 2015 by Ilya Elpanov. Following the transaction, his stake in the company decreased from 27.92% to 26.98%. Another 23.96% belongs to Ed Holding LLC, the remaining 49% is distributed among 16 participants, including Zerno Ventures.

The RB.RU parties did not disclose the terms of the agreement. The press service of Eat Derevenskoye told the publication that this is an intermediate, non-systemic round, which the company “conducted for the development of the b2b direction.”

“The objective of this previous round is to develop the Farmer Island format in the offline supermarkets of our partners (Perekrestok, Lenta). We plan to further expand this format with other partners, representatives of the grocery retail network,” the company noted.

“Eat Derevenskoye” supplies customers with products “to order” directly from farmers. Currently the company cooperates with 265 manufacturers from the Tver, Yaroslavl, Lipetsk and Moscow regions, the Krasnodar Territory and “several warm countries.” In 2023, the company delivered more than 87 thousand orders.

According to Kontur.Focus, revenue in 2022 decreased by 25% year-on-year and amounted to 190 million rubles, the loss was 16.6 million rubles.
