Interest in the initiative intensified after Nvidia signed a preliminary agreement for a possible $500 million investment in September. This trend reflects a general increase in interest from major investors in companies dealing with artificial intelligence and autonomous technologies.

Wayve was founded in 2017 and specializes in creating systems for autonomous transportation control based on machine learning. The company has already raised more than $1 billion in funding, mainly from SoftBank, with participation from Nvidia. Last year, Uber taxi service also invested in the project.
